Y toyota sucks in nascar

Just seen probably the best news in a longtime about nascar, apparently the toyota team was cuaght using illegal fuel in there cars, 1 of the members is in big trouble over it. I just had to lmao, slowest cars out there and they try to cheat and get cuaght, thats what happens when a import sneeks its way into nascar.

Hmmmmm............so Toy is somehow bad(?) crap(?) horrible(?) cheaters(?)because they are bringing up the rear in their 1st attempt at the NASCAR NEXTEL cup.

But Toy DOMINATED the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck series winning both manufacturer and driver championships........so what does that make Ford, Dodge and Chevy????

Just curious.............No need to reply.

Just growing pains. I'm sure they'll be in the mix soon enough, Then we can all complain about imports taking over ad infinitum...

The thing I wonder is how many Chevy drivers were caught cheating. We know about the Fords, but what about the darlings of NASCAR? (Now, let the conspiracy theories begin!!:-fire )

They may be at the back now. Wait about 1/2 the season and see where they stand.

Toyota can only be as good as the drivers they have. look who they have that was worth a damn in a chevy or ford. Jarrett? I like him,but it is time to hang it up before you turn into another DW. Vickers? had a couple bright spots last year, but I am not convinced he has what it takes to get a new race team running successfully. and all the other no name drivers thinking they have a chance at making the big time with a new car make.

Do you think that any company in the top 3 and slated to be #1 in auto sales in the US won't be able to find someone good to drive thier cars?

I'm guessing that they will.

Mike

Update, Jeff Gordon won a race today, but is now starting 42nd due to (unintensional ??)cheating and his car sitting too low.

Ford would have won the championship in trucks last year if Mark Martin would have raced the full season :-X22

If you would care to enlighten me who they are gonna get that doesn't have a good ride for this season already,I am listening. DJ might have a couple bright spots this season, but he is the only experienced driver in the toyota camp that was ever worth a damn, and it has been a long time since he was competitive on a weekly basis.

Wasn't Bill Elliott originally named as one of the Red Bull drivers?

Elliot driving a Dodge was bad enough....

Red Star 02-17-2007 09:14 PM

Toyota got 2nd place finish today at Daytona in Busch. Not bad for a first race.

From another forum:

You have to remember the south created NASCAR, and holds it close to their hearts and heritage, it is the closest they got to "Rising Again", and as the article mentioned, unfortunately there is probably still a strong sense of racial elitism that plagues the sport in certain circles, which in part is why they get stereo-typed as just a bunch of booger eating good ol' boys.

The truth is any one of those engineers and mechanics could probably give the average MIT graduate a run for his money. Or should I say many are probably alums?

oh no toyota would never cheat, that was someone eleses fault. all mightly toyota and the infinate wisdom they need not to cheat, it was someone eleses fault. something was wrong with that cirtain batch of sunoco fuel, it was their fault. someone couldof enterd the team trailer without permission, yeah thats what happend someone broke in and tamperd with the fuel, yeah. i just had to switch the channel when waltrip began craping at the mouth, turncoat jackass.

i hate what nascar is becoming, a damn soap opra. and what the hell does kelly clarkson have to do with racing. i wanna watch the race, i didnt turn it on to hear her sing.

i agree with westladogs article, nascar was a race for grease monkey good ol boys, the guys that use to run moonshine, how many of them drove a fricken toyota. their pushing and pushing trying to become "pc".

"we have to include everyone", hell let all the econo crap boxes in. in our mainstream america, with all the teenage girls and soccer moms that watch nascar now, we have to let everyone in. i noticed during every comercial break there was a "thanks for having us" yota comercial. even though everyone i know signed a potition not to let them in.

i'm sure dale is turning in his grave on this "fine day". i'm so happy none of them won daytona. but yes we'll wait and see, all mighty toyota is sure to win the cup this year, why? becouse they're toyota and they're the best. by the way did you know that jesus drove a toyota? yeah, just becouse they rule, barf.

toyota sucks, end of rant.

bf250 02-18-2007 09:41 PM

its just another car company, like the rest of them. everyone feel the same about german owned dodge?

and engineers and mechanics don't make up the typical fan base, niether do the execs promoting the sport in the interest of making money over tradition.

monsterbaby 02-18-2007 09:46 PM

And once again, toyota sucks just because it's toyota ok so what does that have to do with Nascar those cars have about as much to do with whats put out on the dealership showroom floors as the powerstroke in my F250 has to do with the 1206 international tractor I used to farm with.

NumberDummy 02-19-2007 12:54 AM

The first cars to dominate NASCAR were the 1949/50 Olds 88's with their new short stroke V8's. Everyone accused them of cheating. Next it was the Fabulous Hudson Hornets, with their L head 6's and Twin "H" Power. Everyone accused them of cheating. Then the original 392 Chrysler Hemi's. Everyone accused them of cheating.

The 1960's came along. It was 427 Ford vs 421 Pontiac vs 426 Dodge Hemis. Everyone accused each other of cheating. The 70's, the 80's, the 90's...accusations ran wild.

So now we are in the 21st Century, and Toyota has joined NASCAR, and of course, new kid on the block...so everyone accuses them of cheating.

Does anyone notice (or care) that all the bodies and chassis are the same today? Only thing different is the powertrain and drivers. Hardly stock. The old adage of "Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday" doesn't hold any water, cuz no where in the world can you buy anything close to what's being raced today.
