New guy some old questions

I'll make this brief. I have an '87 6.9 IDI with 2 tanks. tried running B100 in the front tank, B20 in the rear for start-up and to switch to in case it was too thick.I needed to thin it down to about B65 to keep it moving. Is it a good idea to put a heat exchanger in the system for both fuel tanks? should it be placed in front of the fuel/water seperator or where? There are some available on ebay. thanks

Where in CA?
B100 does not usually require "thinning" unless the temp is fairly cold.

Are you running strait vegetable oil in the front tank?

No I am not running SVO. The B100 is pretty thick (like 30 wieight oil) It is also pretty cloudy. The supplier is working on improving his process and this might improve with his experience and time. So I should not have to make any modifications to fuel delivery to run Straight B100?

All of the Biodiesel I have seen is like 5 wt oil.
