This has been posted on 2 other areas in this forum, and is all over the Jeep forums. I don't care that it is a repost, people NEED to know. This news is disappointing, the things some people do for more money. The loss of paragon would be a major loss to the east coast four wheeling community. There aren't many other places to go anymore. I found it particularly diasppointing as both my brother and I are working on two CJ-5 Jeeps to run up there. Hopefully everything will work out and their lease will hold up. I'd hate to have to resort to "urban" wheeling!

*EDIT* I jumped over to the link. There is an online petition created for this issue. Please take the time to sign it, I did and hope you all will too. Anything we can do is worth doing. SIGN IT!!!!!!!

I signed it Scott and even made a comment.

Thanks Joe, hopefully more people have and will do the same. I left a comment also, and then jumped back to the list to copy the link again, and there were almost 100 more signatures in a half hour. They had over 1000 signatures in the first 24 hours. I don't know that it will halp any, but anything is better than nothing. Thanks to all willing to take the time to sign.

Anyone here sign? The loss of Paragon would be a very big loss to east coast 4 wheeling. Another post everyone, was talking about a paragon get together, and then nothing? We can't wheel there if it's gone boys. Anything is worth trying in my opinion.

In case you have not been following this, the hearing was today and the judge voted against Paragon. I have not heard what Kyle and Steph plan on doing, but I know from an earlier post they said that there would still be an off road park some where. Of all things to tear down an off road park for, they are going to put in a cargo airport!!

Ferguson65 02-01-2007 05:54 PM

I wasn't at the computer much yesterday, but it looks to be true. This weekend looks to be Paragon's last.

Ferguson65 02-05-2007 07:47 PM

Well, as of the close of business tonight, Paragon is done. I am hoping they get somewhere when they appeal the previous ruling. It's a very disappointing time for anyone who has, or wants to wheel there, they had a great setup. We'll just need to keep our fingers crossed that the next judge won't be benefiting personally from this proposed airport.

Save Paragon decals are on sale now from someone on the Paragon forums. They are $6 and $5 of that goes to the owners of Paragon. Show your support!

Well, something is going Paragon's way. A judge in a higher court ruled that they can continue to occupy the property until all appeal procedings are exhausted. She said that PCA Corp and Gladstone Partners had no right to lock them out monday night, and the locks were removed. Paragon will be open this weekend, check the anouncements on their forum page. If you can go, by all means do it to show your support! Not a definate step toward anything, but something somewhat positive in something that looks to unfold just how we don't want it to.

Keep us updated on this Scott, maybe not a big thing but at least they got to stay open.
Gives them a fighting chance.

Update for those not following closely.
Paragon was open on weekends only until April. Another judge overturned the previous ruling that kept them open that long, while the owner was at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. Way to ruin someones weekend, huh? Anyway they are back in town and working to get it open again. They will be closed for the month of April for sure. They hope to get it going again in May. Let's all hope someone throws them a bone, I really want to wheel up there.
