Vin issued - Tracking thru plant???
 

I finally now have my Vin issued and my truck has been scheduled for 2/12 (delay due to the goodyear strike). Does anyone know if there is a way to track your trucks progress thru the plant?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys! Ford Rules!!

Your truck can be tracked through the plant by the vin number.

So if you have the VIN, how do you track the progress? Is there a website somewhere where you can tell what's being done?

Im not sure about a web site. IN the past i could take the vin# and give it to a guy and he would pull it on the computer at work and be able to tell where it is or when it is supposed to be built.If there is a web site outside the plant i would like to know it because that would be easier. When i go back to work i'll ask around and see what i can come up with about a web site.

Tried the web page https://fleet.ford.com to track a 2008 SD vin number and couldn't access the page. Can someone give more detail on how to track the vin number on a PC while the 2008 SD is in production. This will save me from bugging the dealership which is 50 miles away.

From my experiences in the past, the website is only good for purchases thru ford fleet, not personal purchases. Hopefully ballbandit will be able to help us out once he returns to work on Tuesday.
