'00 explorer headlights won't turn off
I have an 2000 Ford explorer with the XLT trim and it has developed a problem where its headlights will not turn off when the car has been running even if the switch is in the off position. The lights continue to stay on after the car has been off for 3-4 minutes. I have checked all of the relays and they are all fine. I no longer even know where to continue looking....All insight would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,roatx787 |
you might have an automatic headlight system on the rearview mirror that's the one on the windsheild if you see a button there push all the way to the left then the system is off.

I had the same problem with my f150 and found that the actual light switch shorted internally and I had to replace it.

Thanks so much
