Rebates on the 2007 Expedition Already

I was just on the Ford web site and to my surprise I see they are offering $1000 rebates on the 2007 Expedition already. Another bad sign for Ford I'm afraid, but good for those who maybe be looking into this vehicle. I can only assume we'll see some better rebates in the coming months, if these current $1000 rebates don't jump start sales.

I received a "Private Bonus" mailer this week. It had $1000 on '07s and $2000 on '06s. Since my '07 also arrived this week I was able to take advantage of it.
X-Plan plus the rebate is a hell of a deal. :-D

Good Deal.

Just saw a commercial for a $4,500 rebate on the short Expeditions.

I will never understand why Ford does this. If the rebate applied to the EL too, I would be shopping right now perhaps.

There are going to be some unhappy people out there.

On Ford's website, it is showing the '06s have $5000 Retail Customer Cash PLUS $1000 Fors Credit Bonus Cash. It does state that these 2 offers can be combined for a total of $6000.

The '07s are showing a $1000 Retail Customer Cash only.

I really don't think this is a good sign for Ford. But, it is good for consumers who might decide to go with a Ford.

That sounds crazy b/c most of the Expeditions that I've seen on dealer lots are the EL's. Although, I ordered my wife a regular expy about 4 weeks ago so it will be nice to keep that 4,500 in my pocket once it arrives. :)
