How many Liters is a 460?

My buddy owns a 1978 4x4 f-250. Me and him made a $20.00 bet. I think the 460 is 7.5L and he thinks it is a 7.7L. I know for a fact that it is a 7.5L. Which is it though to settle this "bet". Also what is the horsepower and torque rating for a 1978 F-250 460?

Ford has always called it a 7.5.

yep 7.5 liter... if it were rebuilt and bored .040-.060 it would then be a 7.7 liter also from the factory i think the horsepower of a 1978 460 was 245, and the torque id have to find my truck chiltons for

You could look at the title of this forum also which lists 7.5L/460...

Displacement = pi/4 x bore^2 x stroke x number of cyl
