Out of Commission for a week

I wanted to give the FTE users and moderators a head-ups.

I was in emergency surgery this morning and had my gall bladder removed. It started out as what seemed to be a bad stomach ache at 9 pm and ended up in the emergency room at 2:30 am later followed by rolling me into surgery at 8:00 am this morning.

Modern surgery is just amazing.... three hours after putting me under I was at home with my family. I won't even have a scar! No external stitches! With my wife and God, everything went without a hitch.

Now... I've been ordered not to work for a week. If something needs my personal attention don't take it personally if it takes 7-10 days because I'll be catching-up. I'll stop by for 15 minutes or so each day, but I'm confident in leaving the site in the competent hands of the moderators and admins.

The thing that sucks the most is my Roush supercharger arrived today and now it'll have to wait even longer before its installed!

That sucks :(

Nothing worse than a Gall Bladder attack.Mum used to get them before she finally had surgery.
They removed 42 stones fromm her.

So, You have my empathy :)

Talk about a useless organ that causes so much discomfort.

Are you allowed to talk on the phone with a Canadian ?

I had a feeling something was up... you've been quiet for too long. :)

Get well Ken! I have had a number of friends that have had that operation. It is good that you didn't let it go longer, -complications can be deadly. Even tho the surgery is minimally invasive it is still a shock to the system requiring R&R. Take care! :)

Indeed, take care. A cousin and his wife had the same sitution....BOTH of them within six weeks about a year ago. Get well.

It went very well when I had my gall bladder removed, the biggest thing was not to lift anything heavy and to aviod bending. I went home about three hours after too.
While you recover we can test out the Roush supercharger, mostly so you don`t lose any warranty time. :-X21
