Plans for Labor Day

Hey guys I was just wondering what everybody is going to do on the labor day holiday? I think Im going to attend the state fair. Watch some tractor an truck pulling. You just might see a couple off the the power puller guys from Nebraska pull there. With the nice weather it should be a good weekend. So how about the rest off you guys.

Hope everyone has a safe one.

Got a buddy from Colorado coming in on Saturday. He bought a car over the internet from a place in Sioux Falls, so I am driving him up there. Not much else, just trying to get the final touch-ups and trim work done in the kitchen.

Well I went to the tractor pull on Sunday. Got to watch the trucks as well as they were rained out on Saturday. A couple off power pulers pulled at the fair. Black Magic an Ferrell Martins truck pulled. The track was not the best for truck pulling. The first fifty feet caused the the trucks to start bouncing an a few lost there drive shafts in the process. Couple off Ford trucks from Missouri from the same family pulled first an second. A Chevy also from Missouri finished third. Boy it was big crowd. I cant remeber thegrandstand being that full in a number off years. The weather sure helped though. 70 hooks tractors an trucks ran through in less then 3 hrs. I wish I could have met up with CB. We should have exchanged cell phone numbers so I could have located him. With all the people around it wa just crazy. It seems like its kind off quiet in the Nebraska chapter as off late. Hope you guys are still out there an be safe.

Yes too bad we couldn't have met. We were sitting in the front row around the 225' area (outside). There was also another power puller there. The Wild Thing truck is in the NPPA too.

Wether was great and it was the biggest crowd that I can remember. Now we just get or convertor back, put in, and hope for weather like that on Saturday.

Chris
