General South Carolina Chapter Discussion.
 

I figured I should start up a South Carolina General discussion and planning thread. The Roll Call was slowly starting to veer off topic. So let loose guys...
I think the topics up on the board right now include:

• The first G2G location.
• Current/Future Event(s) planning for the first g2gs
• Voting of Chapter officers...
• Chapter Logo...
• General recruiting
• Website/webspace management from FTE (davidsca- Dave had some ideas moving already)

Some of these topics probably will be wrangled onto a Chapter officer's "desk" for further "specialized" management at a later time.

If I missed anything guys/gals let me know!!:-X22

Here is a example of what I can do with Paint Shop Pro. I can make a logo if you guys give me some of your ideas. This is something I thought up real quick.

I had kicked around a few logos including the State Seal, the state outline (map outline) the Flag (like what you already have) and the actual FTE logo...screened out a bit in the back ground...

Is it okies?

actually I have to find out if lightly screening the FTE logo would technically be considered an alteration... I figure what they mean is font or actual pictorial altering... but I'm sure we could make it work w/out the screening if it comes down to it. :-tap

Edit: I forgot the guidelines link.. FTE chapter/logo guidelines starting around post #6...

Do we have to use the FTE Logo? I can design something with it and the SC symbol. When I get a chance Ill make some rough ideas.

No, we don't... I think most other chapters are using "FTE" or "Club FTE" in general...
Va. looks like they have a neat one... using a seal of some sort.

Now this has me curious if we can use "Ford-Truck Enthusiasts"... since we're using the "FTE" already I couldn't really see why not...

Don, has a good suggestion too... maybe we can find one of those half rebel, half state flag pictures somewhere... or do some photoshopping with two seperate pictures. I'm jus' afraid of offending someone with the "look"...:-innocent

My first revision will probably be to add more Colors!... I'll probably throw a truck or two on there.

Next drafts will include different fonts and altered images (except any FTE actual logos)

Note: all image clip versions being used are either "free" for non-profit use or have had prior approval before implementation.

I like your idea stump jumper. It might take me a few days to make up, but I think I can make something work. Lets all get a good collection of logos and vote on them.

Don came up with a good logo, hopefully he'll post it here for consideration. I tossed together a quick website and zipped the file, so whomever can view a frontpage 2003/xp website let me know and I'll send the zipped file for consideration.

General meeting place for a possible first meet and greet: Since sifon is way out at P.I., we should be considerate to him. At the very least, get him away from those d@mn sand fleas. How about somewhere in columbia?

I'll have to think about this stuff as I retire for the evening...
Dealin' with scheduling fixes, engineering changes and schedules... shipping tools and equip. home, and ordering replacement fab parts for a customer's "machine". Then a sick dog at home a Brand new truck that decided it doesn't want to start for the "care-takers" and someone that tried to steal my "good credit" ... I kinda got my hands full.. :rolleyes:

I needta recharge...and regroup... I'll have some fresh ideas and comments later.. :-rip

take a break for certain. I believe between the rest of us on the forum we can total up to at least 2/3 of a brain...ha ha. Do your thing and get home safe. We can handle the little details on here
