Make up of "WVO" for Biodiesel??

Excuse me if this has been covered before, but if it has I can't find it. What should the make up of WVO be for use to make Bio? For example, if I get WVO from a restaurant that only fried potatoes in the oil, it would be fairly "pure" vegatable oil. If I get my oil from a place that fries tons of chicken wings or meatballs, the oil would have a high percentage of animal fat melted into it. Does this matter? The term WVO is pretty broad-based, but does the type of oil such as olive, corn, safflower, canola, etc. matter and also does it matter if animal fat is present, and if so, how much? On the same theme, what about petroleum based oil? I know it's not good practice to pour used motor oil into the fuel tank, filtered or not, though some do anyway, but could used motor oil be used to make biodiesel? Thanks to all!

If your getting waste veggie oil from a local restraunt it should be fine. You'll have to do a titration test to determine if it's usuable. Motor oil could be made into fuel, I don't know how but it wouldn't be considered biodiesel. Biodiesel is the transfercation of oil bonding with methanol with the bad part of the oil going out with Lye or potasium. This site http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=cfrm&s=447609751 is very informative do some reading and you'll figure it out. It's not hard, I made 20 gals perfectly the first time i tried, but I read for about 4hrs.

One of the best sites is: http://www.biodieselcommunity.org

OK, I went to both of these sites and they pretty much cover it all. However, they still don't say if you can use used motor oil in your "mix" or not. They say the oil should be "organic", but isn't petrol organic? Has anyone ever done a titration test on motor oil??

Thanks!

Used motor oil cannot be used to make Bio Diesel.
It is chemically not possible,

Used motor oil can be processed through a cracking tower and some petro diesel will be formed.
