Gas shortages and Government price controls

I was just wondering if the Maritimes are still seeing Gasoline shortages? I heard something about this a couple of weeks ago.

I was hoping to hear some opinions on the pricing controls on fuel from people who are living with it.

Just as a disclaimer, I'm from Alberta and I do work in the oil industry, so you'll probably be able to figure out where I stand on all of this.

I don't know anything about shortages, but reg gas is $119.9 a litre for self serve today. :-wink :-X25

I don't see what the Nova Scotia government is doing as price control, its more like "price stablization". Its hard to agree with a government body controlling prices( for lack of a better term) that has a vested interest in keeping the price inflated to maximize the tax benifit. but on the other hand one can't ignore the staggering profits oil companies are making and their unwillingness to increase refinning capacity to meet demand which inturn would bring prices down.

What is the current gas and diesel price at the pump now?
Here in Sask it`s around $1.099 and I can buy diesel at the Flying J card lock for $.849

Regular unleaded is $1.13, I think diesel is $1.03 or $1.09 not sure so don't quote me on that.

Thanks for the reply.
This is a quiet chapter, seems nobody is around often, drop into the Man/Sask chapter for a visit...... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum83/ :-X22
