Fuel jug for B-99
Thanks to all the great info on this forum I am on my second tank of Bio-D. My engine loves the stuff. It runs much quieter and it looks like I am seeing an improvement of about 1 MPG on the highway. My first tank had about a quarter tank of #2 when I topped off with B-99 and my second tank was down to quarter tank when I topped off again with B-99.
This afternoon I will be changing the fuel filters and doing an oil change. I really LOVE the fact that the profits on my fuel purchases will now be going to support farmers and all here in the USA. My question is this... I will be going on a little road trip this weekend and to make the round trip I will need about 20 extra gallons. I would like to bring along the extra fuel in some plastic gas jugs that I have used in the past filled with pre-mix oil and gas for my 2-stroke motorcycles. The plastic jugs are bone dry and have not been filled with the gas mixture for about 3 months. Would it be okay to use these "dirty" plastic jugs and fill them with B-99 for my roadtrip or should I just fill up with #2 when I need to. Thanks again for all the great information given by the frequent posters here on this forum. Howard |
If the gas cans are bone dry you will not have any issues.

Go for it! I've used all my old cans, including some old steel "jerry" cans. If you are worried about "crud" in the cans, just rinse them out first with a little Bio.
I use Biodiesel in my power solvent tank and it cleans better than anything I've ever used. FABMANDELUX. :-X25 :-fire |
Thanks for the thumbs up. I really appreciate the shared knowledge!

Be sure to use fuel cans marked as diesel - not gas. Some states get nasty about this.
