In Need Of Bracket for power steering/AC on 7.3
 

I have a 1993 F250 4x4 with a 7.3L. I need the mounting bracket for the power steering pump, AC , etc. The Tension pulley hole on the cuurent one is stripped out. Any help in find a reasonably priced one would be greatly appreciated.

There were several revisions of the front accessory mounting in 93. You may need to find a part number to match up.

For a cheap yet durable fix, have you thought about heli coiling the hole? I can't remember if the threads are cut in the aluminum or if there is a steel insert.

Yeah I thought about heli coiling but didnt think that would fix it since a heli coil works best if there is something behind it. I was afraid it would push out of the bracket since the hole is open on both ends......Any thoughts on this...It sure would save me alot of money if it would work....I am just a little skepticle of heli coil since the hole is in the bracket and not in the block.

The design of the helicoil causes them to expand when installed so it won't move around. If it is installed correctly, you shouldn't have a problem.
