Straight Vegetable Oil Conversion

Read an article, recently, about an F350 Diesel converted to run straight vegetable oil. The article was light on the details. Has anyone seen information on this type of conversion or have any experience with this?

Thanks,

Hi Pete,

Check out the Biodiesel and alternative Diesel fuels subforum, here:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/f...play.php?f=168

You'll find a LOT of good reading on running straight or waste veggie oil. It basically takes a separate tank and fuel system, and a way to heat the veggie oil.

Here's a site sponsor that does WVO conversions:

You can also do a search and restrict it to the Biodiesel/alternative fuel forum, and search on vegetable or WVO or other topics.

I'll also move this thread to that forum now. :)

what year is your 7.3. We have a ready made kit for the second Gen. If you have a first gen most use the second tank as the WVO tank. That normally save a bunch on conversion cost.

It tried and true if done right. I have about 18K miles on my 6.0 PSD since conversion. All is working well.
