What is the Ford part number for the torque converter drain plug? The local Ford dealer part shop said you can not order it unless you order the torque converter. I thought it was a one time uses drain plug and I reused it once all ready.

i just put thread sealant on it and reuse it.

Yep, someone was misinforming you on it being a single use plug. Otherwise you get a service and then next service you buy a torque convertor? LOL Nope. At least you have a model that still has one.

Naw, use it. If you're worried, run it for a bit, get under the truck and pull the dust cover off your bellhousing and check for leaks. Don't think you'll find anything if you do it right.

I've been a pipefitter by trade for over 23 years now,and in that time i've never seen a plug that cannot be re-used,unless it were stripped or cross threaded.Use it until the end of time! :-X14
