Umm? hows this for brain candy
Corn = corn oil
Corn = ethanol Corn stalks/ cobb = methanol ? Can the same ear of corn (not sweet corn) be squeezed for the oil, stripped for the natural sugars for ethanol, and the cobb and leaves and partial stock used for the methanol? Would this make corn used for energy 3 times more valuable? It looks possible in words. Cookie88 will this forum be changed to alternative fuels in general? To make the biodiesel we also need the ethanol or methanol which in itself is a alternative fuel, or is there already a alt forum for gassers? Ignore this if there is. Thanks Troy |
uno mas
i believe there is one more product from all this in the form of livestock feed. Then if you assume you can harvest the various animal products...

Thanks Troy RDO Farms has 80,000 acres under pivot irrigation and are putting in another 80,000 acres! they are in partnership [ 20%] with a company in California that's putting in the Methanol plant and will grow corn for it. The new plant will press out the oil,this will go to Biodiesel, 5,000,000 gallons/ year! Then they will use the "mash" to make 50,000,000 gallons of Ethanol/ year! After they are done with the last step the remaining "feed-cake" will go back to RDO to be used as feed for one of their 3 dairys [each dairy heard is 9,000 head. RDO also has 2- 45,000 head feed-lots. And yes they are going to use the "post-cow" product to generate Methane gas for the farm. If I were a "rag-head" I'd be peeing in my pants...............:-X16 The American pubilc is finally waking up WE DON'T NEED YOUR OIL!! :-X07 The American farmers are the best in the world, what other country pays there farmers to NOT GROW SOMETHING???? The Conservation Reserve Program........ FABMANDELUX.:-X25 :-fire |

The only thing you have to worry about using that much of the product {CORN} is you take more out of the land. 2 years growing and harvesting with that process you take all the nutrients out of the soil and almost nothing will grow!! Not even weeds!! Dairy farmers who “Cut” corn for silage know this and only do it one every 10 years or so in the same field!!

One of the by-products of "cracking" glycerol is the production of liquid fertilizer, Which will be applied back to the land. :-D FABMANDELUX. :-X25 :-fire |
