Anyone in or close to Paulding area?
I am new here and just wondered if anyone was around Pualding. Douglasville or Cobb area. Does anyone meet up anywhere besides the saturday thing and Ga classic rides

I work and live in Paulding County, There are meets throughout the year, and we have tried to have a local thing but it didn't work out. The meets we do have ar usually in the Athens area, but it's worth the drive, See ya around.

Ive got a 1978 F150 Ranger Super Cab Long bed on 38's. Its definately not a show truck but I dont use it for work lol. Just a everyday driver I guess. Ill have some pictures of her up here pretty soon I hope. Just dropped the transmission off at the shop literally 30minutes ago so she should be back on the road here in about a week!

What engine, lift and gears? Sounds cool:)
|
To be honest Im not really sure. Its currently got a 3inch home made lift on it, and ist packing a 460. I do not know what the gearing is though, Ill have to take a gander of of these days. Right now im looking at a complete transmission rebuild though, should be in the shop about another week. Cant wait for it to get done, I have yet to even drive this truck!

Hey Nick, Any feedback on that tranny from the shop yet? You doing any beyond stock mods on the repuild? Be carefull on the homemade lift, is it blocks on suspension, or h/m body lift? JMHO - I would save up for A store bought one. When I was in high school I built a homemade block block system, looking back I should have not done that. Have fun with the truck, just be safe on some of mods...... Take care, donnie |
Its got about 2 inch blocks on the front with a piece of square tubing to jack the shock mount higher. A store bought lift is definately on the list of things to get. First though is to save up for tires, 38's aint cheap ;).
Word from the shop: My tranny is getting done as a favor so it got pushed back a little more but not later than this thursday. IF all goes as plans should be driving this weekend, but you know those things go. Sorry I havent posted any pics Ive just been swamped with work and family stuff. They will come though, sooner or later lol. Nick |
