performance chip

i was looking around for a performance chip for my '04 lightning. i always thought that superchips made pretty decent chips but i talked to a salesman and said the particular one for my lightning would add 24hp and 38tq. that sounds like NOTHING! i have heard of chips adding anywhere from 60-100hp. again, im looking for your guys input on what might be the best direction to go in for a performance chip.....thanks for your help

I think that either Superchips or SCT Xcalibrator are the ways to go. How much you get out of it depends on the tune that is put on there. Stay with someone who tunes a lot of Lightnings, and you'll prolly stay safe and get the most out of it. I had taken the chip out of mine and went with SCT Xcalibrator by a well known tuner near me in NJ because I eventually had contact problems with the chip installed, especially when it got cold out.
