Bio-friendly hoses?

I read somewhere that like '93? and newer Ford's have bio-friendly hoses but older than that if I planned on changing to bio-diesel I had to change the hoses? is that true?

p.s. I'm looking at a '91 F-250 7.3L 4X4

Seems like I've read something about that too.

We'll move this into the biodiesel forum and let the resident experts have a go at it.

" . . . For vehicles before 1985 however you may want to change out the fuel line to a modern flourinated plastic as the Bio Diesel could cause swelling in some older plastic lines." - http://www.kk.org/cooltools/archives/000456.php

I sure thought I read that specific to Ford, it was closer to '93-'94 though

You should use Viton as this is the best product to stand the test of time. If you do not have that wait for old to fail then replace with Viton. This should end this discussion.
