American Auto Club UK
Hi guys, are any of the UK members here also members of the AAC UK?
If so, are any of you going to the AGM this weekend? We'll be there and would love to meet any others from this forum..... |
I'm a member! Don't think I will make the AGM though but I might be able wrangle something....

We weren't impressed with the early part of the meeting; lots of profanity from one official who was in the middle of a huge personal disagreement with another member. It wasn't appropriate to air this in public, nor to speak like that as a club official IMHO, and I was about to raise a comment and leave as it wasn't the kind of atmosphere I was happy being in, but then the said committee member suddenly resigned and left immediately. Things quietened down some after that and met a load of new friends so it turned out to be a good day!
Hopefully the club wil be able to go from strength to strength and maybe we'll meet at a future event. |
Hi Allan
I just spotted this post as I usually hang out on the 48-60 forum and only look in here from time to time I was a member of the AACUK a few years ago but decided not to rejoin for just the reason you have described, too much politics, I get enough of that at work I hope things sort themselves out as the UK American car scene needs these clubs Stephen :-X22 |
I must admit, I only joined because my insurer offered a discount that worked out to be worth more than the cost of membership, provided that I was in a club!
From what I saw happen at the AGM, I think that most of the "dead wood" has gone from the committee and I'm now more than happy to be a member and look forward to attending some shows next year....and still getting my insurance co's discount! |
