Exhaust stacks

Hey everyone Just wanted to what ya'll think about exhaust stacks. I've seen them on some trucks.
What are the good benefits of putting stacks on a 94 F-350 crew cab 7.3l turbo diesel? or is it not such a good idea.

Thanks for your help,
Bruce

In my opinion, it's just for looks, no real benefit over regular exhaust. You might get better responses in the 7.3L forum. This is more of a local club

Cool thanks. Anyone ever get together in the local club or just chat on here mostly?

Thanks,
Bruce

There was a successful state meeting, a few local meetings, a drag race in Maryland. . .right now there are a few people trying to get local meets together, though this isn't the boppinest forum, so things take time to get put together :-X22 Always welcoming more people to help churn the pot :-wink

I think stacks would be awesome. With no ground-resonances, run 'em straight, no angle tips, with no mufflers. You're radiating out into a hemisphere instead of the corner between your truck and the pavement. You'll get the sharp braap! of straight pipes, but without bursting your eardrums. There's an IDI non-turbo 7.3 around here with stacks. Sounds awesome pulling away from the light. If you put the turned-ends on the stacks, it gets a whole lot louder on the ground (and in the cab).
