98 F-150 radio bracket
 

Crossover from the Ranger forum. Need a replacement radio and there is on on eBay from a 98 F-150 . Only differnce is that the Y bracket on the back faces the top of the radio. Can that be reversed so it is below the radio?

On most of the radios there is just one nut that holds the bracket on and the bracket will fit either way.

Thanks. This particular one looked like it had a clip in bracket. Lost that bid anyway, now I have to figure out if an Explorer radio will fit! Darn those 98 radio boards that burn out and lose all of their lights!

Have you thought about an aftermarket stereo?
They usually sound better than any stock one and aren't all that much money.

Not worth the effort. The Ranger is my bang around weekend truck that I just bought used. Has the AM/FM/Cassette/CD with a blank display. Just want some form of radio in it. Hopefully my second effort on eBay will provide one for $30. I'll probably play around with soldering the board of the radio that is in it.
