vacation is over

Went to Alaska last week on a cruise. It was awesome save up your money and go its well worth the time and money. But the vacation is over now I will be heading to mississippi thursday or friday for a couple of weeks to help restore electricity to the thousands of people that still are without power. Myself and some of my co-workers will go relieve some guys that have been overthere since Katrina came through.

If the pole is standing the wire is on the ground broke. we'll be waiting out Rita for a while. I am glad its gonna hit the opposite side of the state from me but it the same time i wish it would come through here because everything is already torn apart here.

Made it through Rita. Luckily for us we are on the far east side of louisiana. we got alot of rain last night and some tropical storm force winds. It knocked out 3000 peoples lights that we had gotten back on. But all is well and we are back at it again today progress is very slow and the food sucks. I did find a walmart and get me an air mattress to go on top of my cot. They took down the food and sleeping tent and they are trying to feed and let us sleep in a gym. its a couple hundred of us in here.

Wish I could help ya out bud.. We know you gotta tough road ahead of ya and hope you'll be back home soon. Red Simpson Inc. used to have a bunch of crews in the area, are they still around and able to help?
Anyways- you just be careful and get back home when you can.
We gotcha in our prayers..
