locating a d44 front 1/2 ton axle ofr a 80's truck

I am looking for a d44 for my wifes truck it currently a 2 wheel drive and I was wanting to make it a 4x4 I have a lead on a T-case and shafts but none on a a front axle. the truck is a 1985 F-150 in good condition with a 351w 4bbl carb. Nice canidident for a 4x4 conversion I think.
any help would be apprecated.

are you wanting to go with the TTB front end or a SAS setup?

well, dont know how to help ya with the axles, other than a junk yard, but if you still need a t case, ive got a np 208 out back, if ya need it, id get rid of it really cheap, as its just sittin there. on edit: you might be better off just bying a parts truck that was wrecked, or blown.

Have you heard about www.car-parts.com I've used this site several times and haven't found a bad product yet. No after market just good used parts.
