diesel fuel injector cleaner , use ??

2000 7.3L PSD CC XLT

The guys at vavoline gave me a bottle of thier fuel injector cleaner, the bottle says it treats up to 60 gallons, used entire bottle. The truck seems to have more power. It could be my imagination though. Do any of you guys recommend using this stuff ?? Has anyone had good luck with it ??
I also use power service in the winter and have been using that once a month
in warm weather.. Does power service clean my injectors like they claim on the bottle ?? The valvoline cleaner says use one bottle every oil change..
Thanks for any info on this ..

I don't know about that stuff, but I use Stanidyne. It makes a big difference in how the engine runs. Much smoother and quieter - less injector clatter. I don't notice any difference in fuel mileage.

I second arninetyes. Only difference is I use Diesel Clean. Both are excellent products. The only difference for me is that it's a lot easier to find Diesel Clean for me.
With todays ultra low sulphur diesel coming onto the market, I've started to use twice as much Diesel clean as they recommend just to lubricate the injectors. The added benefit is that the engine runs very well.

I had my F-350 to the stealership yesterday and had them hook it to their computer looking for the knock and rattle that I have been having and all parameters were good for everything. They started looking for anything else that could be causing it and found a Ford Tech Bulletin saying that some fuel additives will cause this in some diesel engines. I run DieselKleen in every tank of fuel that I run through the truck. I get better mpg and it seems like a little more power out of it, but next tank I will not run any in it and see if I end up with the same noise.

I've been using Stanadyne for years, and have found that the increase in fuel mileage pays for the additive. The improved performance is basically free.
