Next years rally

Excuse me for being dumb, but is next yrs going to be in Kansas again?I had to work for this yrs rally, bummer. If there is a date I can plan ahead and bring Crawfish for boiling, maybe some shrimp also. Also an idea for an activity would be to bring a portable Dynajet dyno for a king of fte competition, but limit it to FTE members and Ford only trucks. :-X22

The 4th week of June (24th, 25th) is looking real good at this point.

Thanks, I will keep my ears open for it.How about a Jalapeno eating contest? :-X07

It needs to stay that weekend, I already put in my vacation for that time frame.:-X22 Any other weekend after that and I'll be:-X16 waiting for approval due to my works business needs. They usually blackout the first week of the month due to volumes. Only extreme cases can get vacation during that time frame. I might have to come down with explosive diarrehea!:-fire

Looks like KC is going to be the spot. Too bad, I was hoping it might move around year to year to make it viable to those who are not willing to drive across several states. I can understand the reasons though, and hope it grows every year.

Yeah Dono, My home town of New Orleans would be nice, not centrally located but we would probaly lose a few members to the night life, and from the pics, they appear to be getting plenty of good food already! :-D

Being a realist ,If the meet is in June,as I stated before, don't count on many from Canada that have children, as they don't get out of school until the end of June (28-30th).

I am still wondering why not correlate the meet with July 4th which is a Holiday.
Or is it best for people to celebrate at their own home for this day ?

The July 1st - 4th is clear sailing for Canadians the kids are out of school ,the Friday would be a National Holiday for Canadians & the 4th for Americans.

If Canadians from at least the Ontario or Manitoba areas aren't considered, then it will mainly an American Meet.

Having a Statutory Holiday on any weekend will make a 3 day weekend and draw more people from further away.

This is my input & I'm sticking to it :)

To verify this, just ask them in the Ontario & Manitoba chapters:)

one bad thing about having it 4th of july weekend in kansas city is there are races usally that weekend end ( craftsman trucks and indy cars) over at the Kansas speedway and the woodlands usally is used for a park and ride spot for the race track.

Mil1ion 08-06-2005 04:40 PM

Thanks, That's a great reason :)

The fourth is also used to blow lots of money on fireworks with family members. It would be tough to have a multi-day rally then without fireworks.

fordborn 08-06-2005 08:07 PM

A lot of people spend that weekend with family too. By having it the week before maybe we can get some to use the whole week for vacation and hit the Rally en-route to the 4th celebrations.

Hey Dennis does Canada have a 4th of July?

husker 08-06-2005 09:08 PM

Rollie they skip it. They only have a July 3rd and 5th. Isn't that right Dennis?

BigF350 08-06-2005 09:13 PM

July the 1st I believe is it for Canada's national day.

There wouldn't be a much point celebrating another countires Independance...
