Power Folding Mirrors

I have an 05 Lariat, if I understand correctly the Lariat comes standard with power, heated mirrors. If this is correct I must be doing something wrong because I can't get the mirrors to fold. Can someone clarify. Thanks

the mirror itself is power heated-not power folding-only the king ranch has power folding mirrors.the power part refers to the mirror lense only not the housing

A big Howdy! from your Texas neighbor. :-wink I have good news and bad news. The good news is you bought a new Lariat with heated, power mirrors. The bad news is only the King Ranch has heated, power mirrors with power folding. Bummer! Someone always has more stuff!

Power Folding Mirrors would be tits, how about a mod... changing the stock mirrors on the Fx4, that has the mirror pkg (power, heated, signals). To the king ranch mirrors

My brother in law has a body shop, might be able to get the king ranch mirrors, Cheaper thru him than ford. Are they the same size? Guess the only other problem would be the control for them on the inside of the cab...

some of the Expys come with the power folding mirrors also (my wifes limited has them the mirror control looks the same as the one on my larait screw but you probably have to have a module of some tyoe toi make it work

someone did it, seemed like some work but its not too bad mostly just getting all the wiring in and hooked up, you can probably find the write up if you search.

From what the manual says, folding the mirrors just involves you placing the power mirror joystick/controller in the neutral position and pulling it back or forward...to add folding mirrors to an already power mirror setup should use the same switch...no? I bet if you look at the switch it has the contacts on the bottom of it that you would need...

Considering how ive found on my SCREW Lariat every wiring harness for options i dont have (rear sensing/4x4) im sure they left the same switch for the mirrors!

Just my two cents!

its the same switch and you do just pull back on the switch. i think all you need to do is add the motor and plug it in.
