Anyone have any recommedations on a wax that wont come off after the 1st wash? I just got a new F-150 and I dont want to waste my time waxing it to just have it all come off after the 1st wash or two. Thanks for the help!

Well Iv tryed alot of waxes and I think just some good ol Mothers Brand will do. Just here lately I picked of a deal of Turtle Wax Paste wax "Easy Off" and it lasted pretty good when all the rain hit us, still had the lil water beads after washing and it even kept the dirt and stuff that is usualy left after a rain off my truck. Now I'm not saying its some good stuff but I am saying it did a great job of keeping all the dirt off, and lasted awhile. Also with the Easy Off its great for a quick wax job.

And Welcome

I have tried the no name stuff, and several other brands and get the best shine and performance out of the Mequiars line. I use the three step process; clean, polish, and wax. Awesome stuff. And their website is great.

what about putting wax on chrome, such as a bumper or wheels? anyone know of any problems with doing that? id use a chrome cleaner, but it doesnt bead.

I've yet to have any problems doing that. But what chrome polish do you use? Some might be formulated to bead or run water off so there is no chance of having water droplets dry and leave the mineral deposits. I use the Turtlewax brand, in the white bottle with green cap. It works well and is easy to work with.

Ive never actually tried any chrome polish. I have put wax on my exhaust a few times, and it didnt seem to harm it. However, I dont want to take any chances with this new truck. Ill check out the turtle wax stuff and see how it does. Thanks!
