Absent for a while...

I will be off line for a while... I am fly'n to Edmonton next Tuesday June 21 to go into the University Hospital on June 22 for Pre Op stuff, will be going under the knife for a big slice & dice job on June 24/05 if all goes well they say I will have 4 more months of Chemo once I have recovered from the surgery. They are saying my hospital stay will be up to 15 days, depending on how quick I bounce back.

I won't have computer access from June 21 untill I return from the hospital in Edmonton. Hope to chat with you all when I return. I will try to stop by here a few more times before I head south on Tuesday.

I am hoping & pray'n all goes well, because my wife says "if you die, I will never speak to you again" & I really hate it when she gives me the silent treatment.

Hey guys, counting down the days till I go in for the surgery, getting kinda stressed, so yesterday I went out to a friends farm to destress with some target practice...

My Ford Superduty make a good shooting rest... .
If all goes well in the surgery, I should be back on here by July 15 or maybe even before that.
I will be fly'n WestJet to Edmonton June 21/05 going in to the Hospital on the 22 of June so won't be getting together with you this time Cody, thanks for the offer though.
I hope the Timmy Ho's isn't in view of my hospital room as that will be another cause of frustration. Timmy Ho's will be my first stop after being released from the hospital.

mustange70 06-16-2005 11:49 PM

Nice gun :).

Be sure to let us know how it goes once you are able to (oh and i hope that the TH's isn't in view as well, as i would be trying to bribe the nurses to go down there to get me something :))

I am thinking of taking my thermos along in my suitcase, then the first visitor to stop in can take it over to Timmy Ho's for a fill up.
I am counting down the days... looking forward to getting this over with so I can get back to completing My '80 CJ-7 Jeep/Ford/Chev/Dodge amalgamation of parts... .

I got home from the hospital yesterday, the surgery was a complete success! I am a hurt'n unit, but I know the battle is won, all I need to do now is soldier on & heal up.

Good to hear that it went well :)

mustange70 07-10-2005 04:11 PM

That's great :), now hopefully you can get through the healing process quickly to get back out into the shop :).

Ken aka Savage 07-13-2005 04:04 PM

Yup, I am alive & healing up following the surgery, I have been home from the hospital for just over a week (I flew home July 5) still quite sore & have lots of healing up to do, Homecare Nurses come around to change the wound dressings every day. Once the wound is healed up I will likely begin the follow up chemo treatments, I was told prior to the surgery that there could be as many as 4 more chemo treatments, but they say the surgery was a complete success.
Today I got word that my draw application for early season (Sept 24 to Oct 31) Bull Moose was successful, so I am really looking forward to the fall.
