Good work Fred! I see its still an obstacle course in the garage, you should see mine!

The sad thing is I cleaned out the garage between these pictures and when you visited... to the point where my welding table (on casters) was clean and I could wheel it in and out of the garage. What kills me is I work until the last minute (when my baby duty starts), then just toss everything into the front of the garage, close the door, then rush to wash my hands and relieve my wife. After 4 weeks of that, well, what you see is what you get!

I need to clean it out again, I just can't work like this. Though I say that every day, yet do nothing about it :D

I actually video taped the entire process, then did the preliminary editing to get it to be about 80-90 minutes... and I think I'm going to video tape future aspects of this twin-turbo crewcab project... and maybe sell the videos directly on the web or on e-bay. "How to build a twin-turbo crewcab" and stuff like that. Kinda proves the average garage monkey (which I am for sure - a monkey) can build stuff like this.

I also got "on the cheap" a gear vendors underdrive/overdrive unit - it comes with the tail piece for the ZF 5-sp my truck has, giving me 20% overdrive, and 20% underdrive, and can be shifted on the fly at any speed under 100mph. This will allow me to not change the 3.55 gears in the rear down to a numerically smaller number, and since the unit is controlled with a pushbutton, and I've decided to use an automatic-mustang mass-air computer instead of a manual, it should be here the 19th. Anyway, by using the torque converter lock-up to control the relay for the UD/OD unit, I'll still have a manual 5-sp transmission and the computer can control the gear venders unit.

I'll be picking up the stainless tubing later in the week for remaking the exhaust manifolds hopefully this weekend if this beautiful weather holds out. Just sucked last saturday I lost my 6 hours a day of no-baby-duty by rebuilding the motor and tranny in my 15 y/o riding lawnmower. Just your basic hone/re-ring job and new bearings in the tranny, though significantly cheaper than buying a new rider for $3500. Working on the mower was kinda funny, two different neighbors came over to "visit" because I had the mower's arse on ramps, and the front lifted with a floor jack :)
