Thinking of selling my Ranger after 5 short months of ownership...

Turns out, I have not used the truck for what it was purchased for. Looking for opinions on if i can get what i owe out of it in private sale.

2000 Ranger XLT Extended Cab 2WD (Black)
4.0L V6 w/ 5 Speed
83,558 miles
Richmond, VA

Has new tires on it. I have only owned it since 78,100 miles, which was October of 2004. Its got stock chrome wheels on it. The truck was purchased from CarMax, so that means its never been in a wreck, and is in great shape.

This truck has a extended warranty, 3 yr, 36k miles, starting at October 2004 and 78k miles.

Buy out as of this evening on my loan is $11,605, thats warranty included.

What ya all think?

Thanks!

A friend of mine just sold his 99 ranger- XLT(I think), V6, regular cab- with about 45K miles on it for only $5000.

It just doesn't seem like the smaller trucks are holding their value very well these days compared to the foreign cars. I think we are slowly catching up to them, though.

blue book value is $6500-$7000, so $11,605 is more then the value of the truck.
