2.3 turbo against 5.0

What do you guys think, will a 2.3 liter with a turbo form a mustang be the same or better then a mustang with a carbuerated 5.0?

if you put a 2.3 turbo in a mustang you will get better gas mileage and you can beat a stock 5.0 with little mods. You can get 400+ pretty easily out of these motor. Then over that it gets pricey just like a 5.0.

I had a '79 Turbo Mustang when they first came out. (wish I still had it) It would beat my girlfriends 305 Camaro until about 50mph or so.

i have a 88 turbo coupe it weighs about 3600 pounds with me in it. And i can beat stock 5.0s all the time. I beat a couple of cobras on the highway. My car is not stock though.

I also have a 2.3 turbo in a 91 ranger hence my name. It is bone stock non-intercooled at the moment. Will be adding lots of parts coming soon.

I already have
crower rods
diamond pistons
total seal rings
msd 6al w/ two step and boost timing master
spec clutch
holset hy35 turbo
heavily ported & polished head with big valves, roller cam, double valve springs.
V8 T-5

Gonna be fun!
