fiberglass cowl hood for 80-86 f150

Does anyone make a fiberglass cowl hood for the 80-86 trucks? I have seen them for the newer trucks.

Thanks for your help:-X22

lmctruck.com has steel cowl hoods fairly reasonable prices.

Why would we want anything Z71 related on our Ford trucks?:-offtopic Sorry I couldn't resist, no offense. I have been thinking about getting the steel cowl hood from LMC for my 84 F150 restomod project... just having a hard time parting with the money.

The GT-500 hood in the owner installed picture from US Body is just up the road from me. It looks really nice. I have never spoke to the guy, but it really is fine.

We were just talking about a cowl hood for an '84 F150, I googled it and here I am. I notice the OP date and laughed too. I'll have to check out the looks of the GT500 hoods.

order Lmc truck catalog for your year model and break out the check book.............

Here's a picture of my LMC steel cowl hood. It fit pretty good, but had to be massaged a little bit. You can see it on the truck in my gallery.

Sorry, but when i see that hood it just makes me think '73-'87 GM truck. Every one of those trucks anywhere near me that is still in somewhat reasonable shape has that hood- way too generic to justify.

I built a cowl hood for mine using two junkyard hoods. I bought another 80-86 truck hood and then found a car hood that I liked the profile of. Split the outer skin off of the car hood and attached it to the truck hood. Both hoods and all materials except paint ran just under $200 total, plus I have something unique.

I think the 70 Mach 1 stripes took that "generic" look away. Everyone has their own taste, or we would all be driving the same truck......

I would really like to see a shaker hood for any of the older ford trucks.
