Transmission shift problems

I am the new owner of the 2001 HD F150 and have noticed some problems with the AT transmission. When starting out in drive the transmission delays in shifting into second gear and clicks several times as it is trying to shift. Once it shifts into second the RPM's are around 3-4K and it shift in very hard. There is no shift kit installed and all other gears go in smooth. Was told that it may be a solenoid issue but am having trouble locating the solenoid to replace it. Is the transmission an 4R100 or E40D? Let me know if you can help please!!

Follow this link http://www.nloc.net/forum/forumdispl...s=&forumid=452
And ask Factory Tech about it. Gregg Evans from Factory Tech will be able to help.
