Should I keep on fixing up my truck or........

well guys heres the big question should i keep on fixing up my 2002 F150 or should i stop and start saving up to buy a new mustang GT or cobra when the 2002 F150 is paid off in two and a half years?? also do you all think that my 1997 F150 with 79,000 miles on it will last me till the mustang is paid off before i have to buy another truck?? i figure that buy the time i pay the 2002 off they will have all the bugs worked out of the mustang. there is a pic of my 2002 F150 in my gallery.

gosh decisions, decisions. Personally I would want to be rid of the payment. But a new car sure is nice.

yeah, at times i think it would be nice to not ahve a truck payment. but i ahve wanted a mustang since i was 16 or 17. it am just to big and tall to drive one every day so i always had to buy trucks. this will be my chance to get one.

From an ex-stang owner, having a anotherto drive vehical is the best way to go.....my recomendation is get the rag top....i know its alot more money but in the end very well worth the extra money. I miss my 91 GT conv 5.0 5sp

My cousin's 97 F150 5.4 2wd lasted more than 150,000 miles and is still going. The only thing that he had to do is replace the normal front end parts and perform standard maintainance. The dealership just gave him $4,000 in trade for the 97 last Tuesday on a 2004 F150 4x4.

Mustangs are fun but I know too many people with pony cars and the such that just suck up money. My brother's 97 Stang has 10,000 in aftermarket parts and it just sits in his driveway most of the time. My cousin has a mint 92 Stang that he paid $16,000 just two years ago and then along came his baby daughter so, that car sits and collects leaves. I myself have $12,000 in a supercharged 90 cougar XR7 that has been in storage for 3 years because of tuning problems and rusty rocker panels.

Just give me a Ford truck any time that I can run over curbs with, not be afraid to hit a deer, and drag Chevy's out of the mud and snow all day long.

i would like to have a convertable it just depends on how much more money they will be. if i go with the convertable i might have to go with the GT and not the cobra and the new cobras are rumored to have 465 Hp. when i time comes i will have to check both of them out.

as for the trucks my ultimate goal is to keep both trucks if possible. so i would ahve 2 toys and one truck to drive every day. i do not want to drive the 2002 truck or my stang every day. but if worst comes to worst i could always put the stock suspension on the 2002 and trade the 1997 in on the stang or trade the 2002 in on the stang. but either way i will have atleast one truck.

i just made the 30th payment on my 2002 F150 this month. i think maybe after the cobra it will be time to save and buy a house. i always said i am not going to buy a house till i can afford what i want and after that i should be set. need some land with it so i can make the back yard on huge gerage or maybe 2 so that way i can do paint work out of one and not get overspray on my toys.

i decided that is i doa nything else to the 2002 F150 that i am going to do it myself. like build my own fiberglass sub box so that its not costing me anything but time and materials. who knows maybe if i am good enough a it and people like it, i might be able to make a little side money.

I'd dump the 2002 truck, keep the 97 truck and drive it until it just wouldn't go any further.
Getting the Mustang of your dreams is never a wrong decision.
I bought my 67f/b 22 years ago and love it even more now. :-X04

i am deffinetly going to get the stang. i went this week and cancelled the stero system for my truck and got small things it needed and i am now going to start saving for the stang. i hope to be able to get a 2007 or 2008 cobra then add a full exhaust system to it as soon as i get it. i hope to try to keep both trucks since they will both be paid off when i get the stang. i hope they will offer the stang in a dark blue and if not i will get black or red fire.
