Searching for early 80's F-250

I'm trying to find a truck that we used to have that we sold about 5 years ago...if i remember right,it was a '83...not totally sure on that though...but it was 4x4..had a 460,manual...it was white and had a service/tool bed on it...it was my step-father's and he sold it before we moved from Beckley to Tennessee (i'm back in WV now though)...and i think it went to Oak Hill..not so sure though..i would love to have it back now because my step-father passed away 2 years ago,and the truck would have alot of sentimental value to me...thanks..

P.S.-i will try to find the VIN to it ASAP...anyone got any idea's on how i could find out where it's at with the VIN?...

well,I haven't had any luck finding the VIN number yet...but the guy that owned it before my step-father..his name was Jake Smith..and my step-father's name was Ray Garrett, and i'm almost positive that it was a '83...so..maybe you can do something with that?...hopefully...thanks

if you know who your step fathers insurance agent was -- you might be able to get a vin from them -- long shot but maybe

You may be able to call the WV DMV and get the information. With computers this is easily possible. They could also tell you if it was still registered after you found the VIN.

The only hard part will be finding a person at DMV that wants to help you.

okay, pics should be in my gallery now...they're not very good at all because i ended up having to take pictures (with the digital cam) of the pictures i had (that were taken with a 35mm) because the scanner is screwed up and not working..but the pics will give u an idea of what it looks like..anyway..thanks Dave..i will try that...
