We live in Australia, and would like to know if many or any of you use bio-diesel in your trucks. We own a 2000 F250 Crew Cab 4x4, 7.3 lts.

Bio-diesel is diesel fuel made from vegetable oil. It can be waste vegetable oil(KFC, Burger King etc) or new vegetable oil. It has very little emissions with no carbon dioxide and no sulfur dioxide and reduces all other emissions. I have contacted Navistar direct and they first said only a mix 5% bio-diesel with 95% regular diesel was safe to use in PSD, but after more pushing they confirmed the seals & o-rings in the injectors are compatable with bio-diesel. I would really like to talk to someone who is actually using it in late PSD. There is a great site on bio-diesel it is veggievan.com

How on earth can there be no CO2 from a combustion process?

That's hard to believe....

Is that for real?

There is a company here in Oregon that sells it. I have not tried it, don't have an oil burner. But I have heard that depending on what kind of plant base is used, the engine can make smells like... popcorn, fried chicken, french fries, fresh peanuts etc. Dang another distraction for me while I'm driving.

Oh well, I guess I am stuck with plain old gasoline.
