Cleaning the TB

I have a 99 escort ZX2 AT with 80K miles. I pulled the intake off and I looked at the TB and it "looked" clean. Would it be wise to buy some throttle body cleaner and clean it?Also when should I replace the o2 censors and where are they located?
I'll be replacing the thermistat soon What temp should I get? I have had REAL bad luck with O'reily CRAP is gateville so I'll go to autozone in Austin They have MUCH MUCH better t-stats at a lower price.
Thanks
Dustin
I know it's a car but still a ford

tb...

I say if it aint broke dont fix it, well I dont really say that but I know that on my ranger 2.3 yer not supposed to spray cleaner in it due to some coating. I did it any way and didnt but I would suggest reading a haynes manual for your car or your owners manual. just see what it says.
