I really wish John would get on here and post - as Roger said last night, he was gonna be there "hell or high water" you know? Hope the old Ford didn't give him troubles along the way.

What was your mileage up and back last night Roger?

I don't know what it was up there, but the return and since have gotten to 14.5 mpg, even running 65! I got some fuel system cleaner/cetane booster, and it has stayed up at that range since. 1 bottle is good for 100 gallon, so it's a cheap feul efficiency booster, if that's what it continues to do. It has almost as much throttle response as a gas now too, not that it had any problems before. It will gain speed up hills that it had prior to the exhaust and cleaner would just maintain speed. I get much more mileage out of it and I'll be catching my uncle's powerstroke. Definitely liking this truck. Make things better, just picked up an extended cab on ebay for my dad, it's only 2wd, going to pull the body off and put it on his chassis. His body's so far screwed it is the best option, but it gives me plenty of parts. The motor's stuck, but was running prior to being parked in the field for 2 years. 4 speed was recently reworked as well, another plus. Fresh clutch, all that. $318.33 final price...

heck that is a good deal even if the motor is total junk, should have some parts on there that will make it worth the money.

considering no rust holes, I thought it was one hell of a deal, and it's over to Albany, Mo, a few hours drive.

Yeah, distance is the key there.

You're putting that car trailer of yours to good use!

there has been plenty of times it never gets a break, then there are months it doesn't move and it gets obscured in weeds... I did lose it in a snow bank before, had to wait for a good thaw to get it back, 10 foot snowdrifts aren't much fun...
