how can i measure the engine rpm in my 92 2.3 without having a tach?

there is a electric meter u can get and tap into a wire on the DIS. i am not sure what wire i can check if u want. the meter is a special one though. probly expensive. just go to a junk yard and pick up the whole guage cluster and swap your old one out. the plugs were the same and the wires were all run, so just plug it in. this is what i did. i would make sure your get the 92 guages just to make sure.
