89' ranger wont spark!!!!
 

Hey yall! i got a 89 ranger 2.3 8 plug head and it wont fire i was told it was the crank sencer how can ya check it and what else could it be, should i just get an older 2.3 with carb and distibutor if so is the 8 plug head better and would it bolt on? i aint really messed with the 2.3 B4 so any help would be great.........Thanks

Take a couple of minutes to pull the codes, if the crank sensor is shot it will give you a code. Code scanners are about 30 bucks at a Autozone etc.

I got a code scanner tryied and got nothin. they had the battery unhooked i hooked it up turned it over same codes im lost!
