Est'd gas mileage of a rebuilt turbo-4?

I have a freshly rebuilt turbo-4 banger out of an 80's Tbird, I am planning on dropping it into my 4cyl ranger, along with its auto tranny rather than the 5spd in the ranger now, I pull roughly 20 mpgs now with my stock setup and about 300,000 miles. Does anyone know what kind of mileage they get now in their turbo-4, I don't know what the engine got even in the bird, it wasn't road worthy when I acquired it. The ranger is 2wd, reg cab, short bed.
Thanks,
Scott

The milage on a injected TC engine should be about the same as you get now. What not working the turbo unit. But will suck up to about 13-14 when on the turbo all the time.I would say stay with the stick trans it is more durable than the old 3 spd/4spd OD automatic. Not to mention takes about 25 HP to run it.

Does anyone have a turbo-4 in a car that knows the gas mileage?
Thanks
Scott

Yes my 85 TC gets 20 when not on the turbo(automatic) My stick car got 25 but have sold that one.
