89 Aerostar A/T to M/T conversion
 

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-15-03 AT 06:07 AM (EST)]I have an 89 Aerostar 3.0L with a blown A4LD that I will be attempting to convert to a manual transmission. I have a freshly-wrecked 89 Ranger with a 2.9L and M5R1 M/T that I am taking parts from to make the conversion. I haven't started tearing either down, yet.

The main question is: will the flywheel and clutchset from the 2.9L Ranger fit the 3.0L Aerostar?

If anyone has knowledge if this possible, please post with comments.
