OBD-II Code Reading needed in or around Ames, IA

I'm going to try my luck. Do you or somebody you know have an OBD-II code reader? The ABS light of my 2003 Explorer comes on sometimes and I would like to pull the code to start trouble shooting. I wouldn't mind giving a little money for it. I'm located in Ames, IA and would consider somebody close by especially since I can't garantee that the light is on at any specific time.

Otherwise, recomendations for PC scan tools that can read ABS codes are welcome as well.

Did you ever get this taken care of? Autozone offers code reading as a service, but I personally won't buy any electrical parts from them unless I'm desparate. Otherwise, you may be able to get a reader that only tells codes, and then come back to FTE to figure out what to do.

Yes, it's taken care off. I've taken the bullet and went to the dealership. It was the rear ABS sensor that needed to be replaced.

BTW Autozone does not pull ABS codes. I guess a generic OBD-II code reader can't read ABS codes. Bummer.

Good to know... Glad you got it taken care of, too bad had to be at that cost. If you had been in Cedar Rapids area could have helped you out.
