looking for a new drivers seat

hey guys, my drivers side seat in my 1993 Bronco XLT recently broke(tilts back, doesnt sit straight up like its sposed to). ive been dealing with this for about a month now and ive had enough. ive tried everything recommended in these forums to actually fix the seat and none have worked. im wondering if anyone has a replacement seat, ive checked most of the salvage and junkyards in the metro denver area and have come up with nothin so far. if anyone has one let me know.

thanks

Do you want the seat to use the internals and use your covers or are you looking for a direct replacement? If so, what color interior? When checking with the salvage yards, are you calling or visiting?

im lookin for a direct replacement if possible, grey interior, i dont really care what condition as ill probably just slap a seat cover over it anyways. i always call first then actually go to the salvage yards because sometimes they dont even know what they have.

:-X22 that's why I asked... I have even come out of the yard and asked about something, got a "I doubt we have that" answer, even though I found one :-huh
I'll keep an eye out on my next visit to the yard.

thanks mike, let me know. it has been a week or two since i made a trip to any of the yards in the metro area so i think i might do that this weekend and see what i come up with as well.

well, further digging today revealed that part of the seat actually snapped in half. i tried a few things to fix it, but those things didnt work. turns out all i need to do is find someone/somewhere that'll weld the metal back together, anyone know someone or have a good place to go?

Try some of that JB Weld stuff, I know it works pretty good, you just need clean parts to work with and let it set up for a good amount of time. There is a welding shop on Dartmouth, just east of Federal, can't recall the name but surely they can be found in the phone book.

I might invest in a little general purpose shop welder this week, let me know if you are in a hurry..

im not in too much of a hurry, let me know if you get your hands on a welder this week tho. ive lived with the seat like this for almost a month now, another week isnt gonna hurt. ill keep you up to date, i might just go and grab some jb weld and see if that'll do the trick, depends on how long it needs to set and harden to full strength tho.
