Somewhere to take used oil

Hi guys,

With all my dad's trucks and equipment, not to mention my two trucks, we have used motor oil stored all over our barn. Just wondering if there's anywhere in Mass to take used oil at a small or no fee.

Thanks,

Nelson

try any of the local high schools or tech schools with big mechanic shops they might have a waste oil burner set up. i know my high school had one.

Auto-parts stores have to take it back to recycle it here in RI; I don't know if that's true in MA as well. They usually have a limit of four gallons at a shot, so that's no good if you've got a few filled 55-gallon drums.

My uncle brings his to the town barn (highway dept). They burn it for heat.

Ma. is the same. Where you buy your new oil has to take back the used oil. As long as it don't get mixed with anything that is.
