If your close to St. Louis you can go to St. Joe's national park, aka Flatriver. You can take your motorcycle, four-wheeler, go-kart, 4x4, etc. It's about 2000 Acres. It costs like $5 to go all day, I've been once and it is pretty sweet.

St. Louis huh? That's about 2 hours away, do you know of a website with more information?

Thanks a lot!

Here is the website for the state park. Check it out. This place is really cool, you can get a campground site by the Off-Road trails and park your motorcycle/ ATV at the campsite and when you wake up you can just hop on your ride and take a trail straight to the Off-Road area.

Dude... I know where that is. I grew up not far from there and used to play Western in HS sports. I am now living in Schaumburg. I love the city, but I still need to go out there from time to time to get a break from it. Oh yeah, I have a 96 ranger. It is a nice ride, but I am thinking of trading it. I will most likely end up with another Ranger, but I am looking at the Escape too. Seems like the MPG went to crap in the Rangers. Any thoughts?

Depends if you want the 4x4 or not. If not you can get a 2.3L but they don't come with extended cab anymore and they're pretty weak. A lot of the guys on FTE say the the 3.0 and 4.0 get about 18-20mpg on average depending on how you drive and how well the engine is running. Personally I don't care about mpg too much because I don't do a lot of driving, maybe 8000 miles a year, so I'd go with the 4.0. I don't know much about the escape so I have no opinion about them. Maybe talk to some of the guys on the escape forum and on the Ranger forum to help you decide.

BTW, Flatriver is awesome. I've only been able to go once. I live on Collinsville it's about 10 miles east of St. Louis so It's a bit of a drive to go out there but not too bad. I had a kawasaki kdx220R and it was a blast to go ridin out there.

That place sounds awsome, I'll have to talk my parents into going up there. I'm guessing that they don't have ATV's for rent do they?

BTW, thanks for the link, I couldn't find anything on it.
