Welcome to Maine gilraine. I currrently live in bradley (just north of Bangor). Wheelin in Maine is great. There are many many old woods roads to travel or if you prefer the power lines are always a good source for mud and water. I was actually born and raised in Norwalk CT and have been in Maine since '79. Its a great state with good people. **** poor economy but good people. I think you'll like it here. What will you be doing in Machias?

My GF of 3 years will be going to school at U of Maine-machias. I couldn't deal with being without her for 4 years and it will be cheaper for us to live off campus...
