99 F250 5.4 early build

My 99 has 342K on the truck. It had a ford reman motor installed at 290K. The back story is that it lived its first life as a snow plow truck in St Louis. It also did land scaping duty in the summer months. Being part of a fleet of plow trucks at a snow removal company is a hard life and at 290K miles, there is no telling how many hours were on it when it let go. The snow removal company sold it to a friend of mine and he had the new motor installed. I got it off of him at around 320K. It's a farm truck now and has had some "systems" issues but the motor is as strong as an OX (a small OX). As long as I can continue to take care of of the systems issues I will keep it forever.

I now have a 2011 F250 6.7 for my heavy lifting and off the farm trailer pulling duties. It is also a four door so I can carry the family in it. The wife uses it as a daily driver but she don't work off the farm so it sits a lot. BTW, it only has around 105K on it.

Happy New Year!

342K and a new motor a while back, could last you another 300k if that the case, lets hope so. Love the 6.7's they are great engines ., so damn quiet but man do they love to pull, lots of go and plenty of torque. 6.7's rock :-X22

Just hit 250K this morning. Original sticks, original fuel pump, 2nd HPOP, 2nd transmission, 3rd set of ball joints, 4 ESOF repairs and various viton o-rings.

Where does the time go?

Turned 300K on the way home from work yesterday. The last 50K I rebuilt the turbo, added some new parts, and LOTS of new o-rings. Still going strong on the original injectors (knock on wood).

how many miles on your truck

1979 F350 Supercab Camper Special

120,000 miles on a 460 ... just broken in ... I got 550,000 on my last one incident free so ... long way to go

If I'm doing 65 to 69 mph empty or 60 mph fully loaded I get 16 mpg

I tried to get better fuel mileage by slowing down to 55 mph. Big mistake, mileage went down to 13 mpg.

In my case speed doesn't kill ... it gets me 3 more miles per gallon!!

My 2015 passed 140K last week.

Needed a new radiator and I've found a leak at the drive shaft seal.
